Sold my condo in November but the HOA is STILL giving me trouble. I guess the buyers title company sent the checks to the wrong address, then sent them to the right address but the management company “never heard anything about a sale” and has been piling up late fees for missed payments. Did they not notice that they were asking for 2 sets of payments from 2 different people for the same address?

Negatory. All current including a prorated amount and transfer fee to cover the hoas “cost” of getting the new owners information recorded and setup in their system

That is stupid. My HOA did not give me any issues. I sold and closed and that’s all folks.

Send them a cease and desist? Also you must remember these people are too useless to be elected to local office so they instead do the HOA.

A HOA organized around my family and wouldn’t cease trying to get us to join. After they started complaining about some stupid, early one morning we set up some stakes. Holy crap in 6 hours we had each board member asking what we were putting up. My grandfather had so much satisfaction going “none of your fucking business”

My mother-in-law’s HOA did the same thing to her, demanding several hundred dollars in “missed payments.” I faxed them a nice letter from my office suggesting that they pay her a few thousand dollars unless they wanted her to be the lead plaintiff in a class-action fraud lawsuit on behalf of every member who had ever sold a condo. They hand-delivered a check to her the same day.

I just got home and y neighbor’s trash & recycling bins are outside of the garage doors. I was thinking “someone’s going to get a letter soon if they keep that up.”

Not from me mind you, I did the same thing when I moved in.

I’m the redneck in my neighborhood and I won’t be outdone by a couple of trash bins out front.

Time to park a car out front with a tarp....
